[MacPerl] Reading Bitmap Images from PICT files using Perl

Hi,
I need to be able to open a pict file containing a bitmap with MacPerl and
extract the image data into an array of arrays as a stream of ones and
zeros. Does anyone know of any libraries that might assist in this or have
an example of how this might be done?
