Chris, one module that you might find interesting is Paul Marquess' Filter
module. It lets you transform your perl source as it is being read in by
the interpreter. I've used it on Unix with a decryption filter that lets
me provide encrypted perl scripts to customers, who can execute them without
being able to read them. It could also be used for such things as storing
scripts in compressed form while still being able to execute them.

Don't add this to your list for me, though - I have no immediate need of it
for the Mac (and if I ever did, I'd probably be having to compile my own
version to get some C code in - providing a decryption routine in plaintext
perl kind of misses the point of encryption).
