[MacPerl] files

Okay... thanx to everyone who helped me get macPerl running... and yes to
those PTF people, your chapter did help me out greatly- much more than this
one book i have here at my house. Anyways, Can anybody explain to me, or
point me in the direction to a tutorial, on how to work with files. How to
save them to your hardrive... how to edit the contents... how to check to
see if they're there, and if not create one... and one last thing... can
you use this with the browsers cookie file, meaning, can you read and write
to a cookie file of a browser just as you would using JavaScript?
