Because I do a lot of conversions between different character-sets, I thought it would be nice to have an MacPerl interface to the MacOS Text Encoding Converter and so I wrote an interface to Iimore-sans TEC Osax which is an interface to the Text Encoding Converter. >From the readme: ----------------------- This is TEC.pm 0.1, a Perl interface to the Text Encoding converter. It uses the AppleScript Extention TEC OSAX. REQUIREMENTS: * MacPerl 5.1.9r4 * The TEC Osax 1.1.1 (CFM-68k or PPC-Verion) * Text Encoding Converter 1.2 or higher. (ships with OS8, Cyberdog, Java, etc) The TEC OSAX can be obtained from: http://www.bekkoame.or.jp/~iimori/sw/TECOSAX.html (the homepage) http://www.bekkoame.or.jp/~iimori/goodies/TEC_OSAX1.1.1.hqx (the archive) --------------------------- The TEC-module comes with a pod and a demo-script. I would be happy to send this package to anyone interested in it and even happier to get some criticism back. The whole stuff is about 9K. (If there is some ununderstandable English in the pod, please report it) If you cannot get TEC OSAX I can send it to you. (But then your 9k-mail will become about 100k, I pressume) --Andreas Marcel ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
