I just hope this (the MacPerl news poster thingie) doesn't propagate spam, not that I'm rushing to prejudgment or anything. It would be a shame to see MacPerl put to such nefarious purposes. Good God, no. It searches through a list of people who post to a particular newsgroup to find out if any of them have a birthday today, and then posts a happy birthday message to the newsgroup. :-) A couple of people have mentioned Net::NNTP for posting news. However, I can't seem to find this anywhere; this may have something to do with the fact that I am *not* running MPv5, I'm running v4 because I haven't got the hard disc space for v5. Can I do what I want in version 4? Or will I have to upgrade to version 5? Am I looking in the wrong place for the NNTP library? Or did I just not download it for whatever reason? I downloaded the 'application' package for 68k.
