You can always get the current version of libnet ported to MacPerl from my site, <http://pobox.com/~schinder/MacPerl.html>. And as Matthias knows, since he was involved, the next version of libnet should have MacPerl support built into the standard distribution. The problem is always that CPAN modules, especially the active ones like libwww-perl-5 (the 5.32 port is now available) and CGI, get revised on timescales much shorter than MacPerl's. There's simply no way for Matthias to keep up, especially if the module has to be modified. On Unix, the CPAN module is a tremendous help in dealing with this problem, but it's full of Unixisms and won't work under MacPerl. I've tried to provide a solution to the upgrade problem for the modules I port, but it isn't perfect. } } Matthias } } -- } Matthias Neeracher <neeri@iis.ee.ethz.ch> }http://www.iis.ee.ethz.ch/~neeri } "One fine day in my odd past..." -- Pixies, _Planet of Sound_ } - ----- Paul J.
