It's still in its early stages, but Bare Bones' Mailsmith will work with Brad's
Perl/BBEdit palette directly (it works with most BBEdit plug-ins).  The new
Mailsmith 1.0.1 demo extends the trial period to a month and fixes a bevy of
early problems.

It's still too slow, and messages take up too much space even to justify their
hugely searchable database nature, but it's getting there.  While I'm not giving
up either of them yet, I like Mailsmith more than Eudora or elm.
