I just talked one of our ISP into installing MacPerl to allow our company to run perl cgi scipts on our web page. I tested a few scripts and got nothing but a call saying I've managed to crash his server. In short, I went out there and found MacPerl was running fine unless AppleShare IP was also running. In this case any script would cause MacPerl to crash with a type 2 error when I tried to run it from the menu bar. If I turn off AppleShare IP it works. Any one else have this problem or is it just my bad luck? The ISP depends upon AppleShare IP to allow remote filesharing, so there is no flexability there.
