[MacPerl] Network volume?

This is really just a generic MacOS programming question, I guess, but
maybe someone here knows.  Can I tell if my application is being called
from a remote volume?  Hmm.  Maybe I should reword that.

Can I tell if the volume from which my program was launched is a local
drive to the machine which is running the code?
