[MacPerl] ParallelUserAgent and MacPerl

Has anyone tried using the ParallelUserAgent distribution (from the CPAN)
with MacPerl? (It is an extension of the LWP dist, allowing you to
download multiple Web pages in parallel.)

I tried but encountered some resistance, and since I remembered that LWP
needed some porting to allow its use with MacPerl I thought I'd check
before trying further.
