[MacPerl] "From Web to wares" - nice mention of (Mac)Perl

The June 22 issue of LAN Times (pp. 65-66) has a nice article about Perl:

  HANDS ON Problems & Solutions

    > Apps Development

      From Web to Wares:
Extend Perl's power and flexibility from your Web servers
      to all kinds of programming

      By Al Berg

Al Berg, a Contributing Editor for the publication, mentions that a
Perl interpreter is available for the Macintosh, then says:

"... a free port of Perl optiomized for the Macintosh is available
at www.ptf.com/macperl. It's called MacPerl, and it includes the
entire language with added support for Mac-specific functions."

LAN Times (http://www.lantimes.com) is a controlled-circulation
publication from CMP that bills itself as "The Newsmagazine of Enter-
prise Distributed Computing".
