I had noticed some mention of this in the list archives that I read, but nothing specific. [snip] This WOULD be a very good question for comp.lang.perl.moderated, if you've already looked in the aforementioned perlxs and perlxstut and could not find it there. --- Well, what I have read in the XS documentation seems to reflect a desire to call C functions from Perl, and to glue the parameters and return values. The brief mention of XS and C++ seems to imply that one can create instances of C++ classes, and call into them from Perl, but how such things as data structures created by these instances are handled, it does not say. (For that matter, there is not much attention given to much beyond the bare function interfaces in any of the docs.) I will pose this question to the newsgroup and see what I can come up with.
