I have never thought this to be a really big problem. To handle this, just write a small routine which deals with the big three platforms. Then you just re-use it over and over and over when you go from machine to machine. There's an example is the MacPerl-o-matic thingy PTF has set up. :-) Now if you want to get into a very heated, long, drawn-out, forget-it-I'm-not-going-to-do-this argument; then let's talk about MacPerl processing line endings! :-) (AND THE ANSWER IS - NO!
