[MacPerl] How well does DB_File et. al. work on the Mac?

Hi,

I've been trying to get DB_File to work today without overwhelming success.

I started off trying to save my hashes to DB_File databases but it would
crash periodically.

So, I went out to CPAN and found Data::Dumper and MLDBM (MultiLevel DBM).
After that didn't work (MLDBM uses DB_File), I discovered Chris Nandor's
Mac version of Data::Dumper.

Unfortunately, now MLDBM + Data::Dumper crashes right way.

I'm using a PowerBook G3 with OS 8.1, MacPerl 5.2.0r4.

Should I throw in the towl and go back to text files?
