I just tested a simple case: ¥Create a droplet with the following line: foreach (@ARGV){print $_, "\n"} ¥Open a folder in list view and alphabethical order of names, with some items in it. ¥Select all and drop the selection on the droplet, then everything may be in correct order. ¥Now, select the same items one at a time from the bottom to the top of the list, drop and everything should be in reverse order. ¥So far, so good. Now unselect everything again, and do Select All from the menu once again. On my machine (German System 8.1) everything is passed in reverse order as long as I do not choose to select one item at a time from top to bottom again. Rectangular selection, on my machine, does the same as Select All. This is only one of the weirdnesses I encountered in the past, e.g. seemingly non-deterministic issues when passing a folder path to process its contents by AppleScript etc. __Peter Hartmann________ Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan e-mail: hartmann@mbox.kyoto-inet.or.jp (preferred) phv00542@askic.kic.ritsumei.ac.jp ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
