Just a side note here: The Mac is the _only_ system which can run: MacOS Linux (LinuxPPC & MkLinux) Apple ][+ Apple //e Apple //gs Amiga AtariST series software Commodore 64 AtariXL series software Video arcade (MAME) software Windows 3.1 Windows 95 Software/OSs. No other system will do this. The above is possible with hardware and/or software. I've even seen a TI computer emulator. For some reason the IBM people never got around to making a //gs emulator and the card you can buy for the IBM only emulates the //e. You realize that this means the Mac could conceivably replace IBMs and Unix systems. ;-) Anyway, just some info. PS: I don't know about true Macs, but the APS Technologies Mac clone uses IBM keyboards, mice, and disk drives as well as the regular Mac ADB stuff. It has both sockets along the backplane and internal EIDE prongs on the motherboard. Makes it real easy to upgrade a hard drive and mice only cost $9.00 each. :-) PPS: I once plugged in both the ADB mouse as well as the PS/2 socket mouse and my wife and I played mouse tag trying to get the cursor from the center to one side of the other of the screen. Being a fairly good computer programmer I had many more hours of experience in getting the mouse to do what I wanted. :-) Quite a bit of fun - but a bit hard on the mouse. :-/ ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
