Re: [MacPerl] The Perl Usage Survey Continues...
Rich Morin,rdm@cfcl.com,Net ˇcrivait:
That could well be. All I know is what I see go by on USENET and a few
mailing lists. Maybe Windoze Perl is in great shape; anyone know?
As a starter in perl, I cannot give a full review. But I got MacPerl installed at home one month ago. I started to discover it with the help of BBedit. It was real fun.
At work, I downloaded the full ActiveState thing and got it installed on my W95 PC. I was not much impressed of it. I got then the "other" binary distribution, and I saw that the ActiveState one is far better ;-)
My conclusion is that i'll stay with MacPerl for a while to comfortably learn the language ;-) But i'll tryn to keep my developpements portables.
