I meant to indicate it may be a memory leak; I can neither confirm nor deny. The fact is that when the script ended, though, I was left with a small amount of available RAM (I forget, mayb 12MB?), so something sure seems wrong. Also, doing the same basic thing on a Solaris box, top showed memory allocation not going over 19MB, and in MacPerl, memory allocation grew with each successive install.
