The best way is not to do it that way unless you want MacPerl tied up doing
this one script forever.  I'd simply write a set of scripts and use one of
the cron workalikes to launch them when you need to.  (For crons, go to
<http://hyperarchive.lcs.mit.edu/HyperArchive.html> and search on cron.
There are also others available that may turn up at one of the major
download sites.)
