Sounds like the ideal solution would allow both sorts of warn and die messages with some option to allow the programmer to choose. Perhaps the present form would be set as the default if you install the MPW Tool components. If the structure of the warn and die messages are a convention that's become a de facto standard then I vote for getting MacPerl to adhere to the standard.
