Upon reading some of the Mac specific MacPerl libraries, most of these are accompanied by a phrase similar to; 'only use these if you know what you're doing, otherwise you may have problems with your system, or you could loose data'. My very first 'experimentation' using Windows & Controls caused a problem whereby once I quit MacPerl, my Finders normal windows failed to 'behave properly', and I needed to re-boot. Can anyone clarify for me the exact nature of these possible dangers? As well, is it only possible to loose data in memory, or are we speaking about disks, etc... Or can you only possibly corrupt a disk volume if you start messing with the file related toolbox functions? ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
