We have a similar problem here where scripting PS would be extremely helpful. Our solution came in the form of using Frontier in conjunction with Prefab Player ( http://www.prefab.com/ ). I highly reccommend that you take a look at it. Although I haven't even explored hooking Perl into Prefab Player yet. Since Dave Winer went commercial with Frontier and is marketing it more as a dynamic web development platform, it is quickly loosing its appeal as a scripting and workflow automation tool for us. That is why I am now working diligently on porting as many of our useful Frontier scripts to Perl. At this point the only thing that I miss, is easy use of the glue tables in Frontier that allow for easy IAC (especially to FMPro). I am planning on looking into Chris's FMPro glue for Perl here shortly. cheers everyone!
