It must not have been revised since CPAN Testers started, so I've never
tested it. I'm flipping back to Linux tonight for the next 9 days, so if I
remember, I'll try it tomorrow morning when I run through my CPAN testers
backlog. But I'll probably get the same result as you get under MkLinux.
There are, unfortunately, too many authors who assume that Linux ==
Little-Endian-Chip-That-Can't-Do-Floating-Point, and don't check endian.h.
Of the tests that are at CPAN testers (good thing it hasn't moved to
perl.org yet, or it wouldn't be available tonight), there's a fail on a
Sparc and a sort-of-pass on an Intel, both running Solaris.

I have built libdes under LinuxPPC, though, and it passes all tests, so
it's possible to get it right.
