Well, Arved Sandstrom seems to have a better solution for calling other perl scripts, but as for talking to other Mac apps, I skipped the AppleScript junk and went straight to the Apple Events. It's not that hard, especially with Mac::Apps::Launch to start the other apps up. Took me a couple hours to peruse the Apple Events documentation and figure it out, but I've probably already saved that time in not waiting for the AppleScripts to compile! -Kevin "C programmer pretending to the glory of perl" Boyce -- --------------L--H--E--A-------------- Kevin Boyce Kevin.R.Boyce@gsfc.nasa.gov Code 662 (301) 286-3036 NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center -1684 (FAX) Greenbelt, MD 20771 http://lheawww.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/xray/astroe/ ===== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ===== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-request@macperl.org
