<x-flowed>You may have noticed some slippage in the MacPerl lists this past weekend. We (cfcl.com, macperl.org, ptf.com, macperl.com...) have changed our ISP and our net connection, and, consequently, our IP numbers and DNS. We thought everything was cool, but we've had a few notes that indicate otherwise. If you sent mail over the weekend that doesn't seem to have made it to the list, you may want to send that message again. Our informants tell us that mail is now getting through as expected. We apologize for any difficulty. We may also, inadvertently, have been victims of "Melissa". I am told that a number of sites shut down their in in-bound and out-bound mail during parts of the weekend (and some are still shut down) in an effort to stop the spread of this virus. As Melissa only seems to attack that "other OS from Redmond" our Mac/Unix systems seem to be immune (this time; knock silicon) but the net does mail by store&forward. Things may be slow for a while. (Other lists that I and several MacPerl list members subscribe to have been oddly quiet of late). We appreciate your patience and aplogize for any upsets. We apologize sincerely if you received two copies of this message. - Vicki --- |\ _,,,---,,_ Vicki Brown <vlb@cfcl.com> ZZZzz /,`.-'`' -. ;-;;,_ Journeyman Sourceror: Scripts & Philtres |,4- ) )-,_. ,\ ( `'-' P.O.
