Thanks to Chris Nandor and others for offering help with my crashing
GD problems and Mac::Memory not working.
I'm pleased to inform you that installing the bigapp version of Perl solved
the problem and I successfully ran a script to create a GIF, and
the Memory and Quickdraw sample code in MPPE worked fine. (The
Quickdraw code reminded me of X-11/Motif programming I did years ago
on a Silicon Graphics workstation).
I have a question. Before I installed bigapp, the MacPerl program was about
2.5MB. After the bigapp install, the size dropped to 1.5MB. Why is that?
Did PowerPC code get stripped out? Just curious.
These lists are a great resource .... thanks
Charles
