True, BBEdit can't access the Type & Creator of a file from inside 
the file... but why should I care? A "Save As" changes type to TEXT 
and Creator to R*ch.

BBEdit Lite of course is free, but we digress... However the 
following brings us back on topic

Neither does BBEdit, especially with the integrated MacPerl support 
in version 5.1.
