There are several levels of debugging. One is debugging a perl program, perhaps with print or warn statements. Then there is the perl debugger. Then there is a perl build with -DDEBUGGING, so you can do all sorts of nifty tricks (see TPJ Issue #12, Winter 1998), and there are specially compiled CFM68K and PPC versions of MacPerl with -DDEBUGGING in my CPAN site. And there is the kind he was talking about, which is debugging the MacPerl app itself with (perhaps?) MacsBug and the .xSYM table which contains the compiled app's symbol table; I have that file on pudge.net. I don't know if it is necessary for hum to debug at that level, but if he wants to, more power to him. :) -- Chris Nandor mailto:pudge@pobox.com http://pudge.net/ %PGPKey = ('B76E72AD', [1024, '0824090B CE73CA10 1FF77F13 8180B6B6']) ===== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ===== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-request@macperl.org
