> Q2: Until I get my next paycheck to buy a book, is there somewhere I can > go to find out what various modules do? Since Question #1 is the MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION, I'll tackle #2. MacPerl comes with *copious* built-in help. Your MacPerl should have come with a helper app "Shuck," which is used to read the documentation written into modules in POD (Plain Old Documentation) format. Shuck, "shucks" POD (for some mysterious reason Matthias used an ear of corn as an Icon). Shuck can always be accessed from MacPerl's built-in help menu! There's LOTS of info there! More than you can read in one sitting. Make friends with it, it's there to help you. It's also where you'll find your answer to Question #1. ;-) Buy "MacPerl Power and Ease" with that next paycheck (or a portion thereof, anyway). Thumb it to death until you have to buy a second copy. Chris and Vicki will thank you.
