At a list of $32.95 I don't know as how I wouldn't just get the Cookbook. It looks to me like EFFECTIVE PERL PROGRAMMING has a very limited zone of usefulness for the typical Perl programmer. Not to knock the authors, but with the other books that are already out I think the need for this one is feeble.
