I wasn't really trying to make a point. I was really just asking a question. I'm not sure how many harmonies I can hear so I was hoping someone else might have a better ear or know how many channels the Mac can handle. I was thrilled I could get more than 4. I'm pretty sure I can hear 8 harmonies. I'm not sure I can hear a 9th. By the 10th try I hear at least 1 drone tone, that is 1 note that maintains the same pitch for its duration. I have had little success so far making more than one voice actually sing lyrics at the same time. I had to start the speech (a long string of "e"s) first before I could loop through the pitches for each note. When working with multiple speech channels I can change the pitch with SetSpeechPitch $channel[$v], $pitch[$v]; without distubing the flow. But when I try to initiate new speeches with SpeakText $channel, "Testing 1, 2, 3. Hey is this thing on?"; it seems the voices step all over each other.
