Hi there, I can't manage to get "CPAN-shell.plx" to work. The cpan-mac-0.40 module was freshly installed. I'll see a downloaded file "$HOME:.cpan:sources:MIRRORED.BY". The droplet prompts me with a selection of possible continents (1) Africa (2) Asia (3) Australasia (4) Central America (5) Europe (6) North America (7) South America Select your continent (or several nearby continents) [] 5 6 But no matter what is input, just enter or any combination, nothing happens. I could not oberserve an remote access activity. When going into debug mode DB<1> b load Fressplatte:Programme:MacPerl Ÿ:site_perl:CPAN:FirstTime.pm Will stop on load of `Fressplatte:Programme:MacPerl Ÿ:site_perl:CPAN:FirstTime.pm'. DB<2> r 'Fressplatte:Programme:MacPerl Ÿ:site_perl:CPAN:FirstTime.pm' loaded... CPAN::Config::load(Fressplatte:Programme:MacPerl Ÿ:site_perl:CPAN:FirstTime.pm:19): 19: $VERSION = substr q$Revision: 1.37 $, 10; and stepping into the code I see as last observable code DB<7> ExtUtils::MakeMaker::prompt((eval 6):26): 26: chomp($ans = <STDIN>); Can anybody help me? I can live without it by http downloads but purely like to have a proper installation.
