[MacPerl] Newbie question

Hi

I haven't been using Perl for several years and then I used Perl 4 on a UNIX box
so this question could be very stupid 8-)

Is it possible to build some kind of "application" in MacPerl that implements a
"command window" where I can type commands (that is: scripts that I have made
myself). Something like using ToolServer from BBEdit (which is alternative to do
this ... since I tend to have BBEdit open most of the time).

In short I'm looking for a way to execute scripts from a command line
environment but I don't know what alternatives I have (in unix I would just have
put them into ~/bin). I would be grateful if someone could give me some advices
or examples of how to this? (opinions like "forget it, use ToolServer" is OK 8-)
