On Thursday, I will leave for Switzerland and until I'm back in early January 2000, I will read my mail only sporadically. I'd like to use this occasion to wish you all a merry celebration of watever you're celebrating, a happy new year, and as limited a breakdown of civilization as possible. 1999 has been another low profile year for MacPerl development (while *use* of MacPerl seems to have gone on quite nicely) but I've made steady progress on the infrastructure; I expect to do a first development release of MacPerl 5.6 soon after my return, possibly even in January.
