Well, the official co-authors are Vicki Brown and Chris Nandor,
though I did have a hand in the editing and wrote a few chapters.

Anyway, for information on the MacPerl book, including a version
which is viewable online, see:

   http://www.macperl.com/ptf_book

And, for those with a tolerance for hype, here's a PR rundown....

MacPerl (Perl 5 for the Macintosh)

Vicki Brown and Chris Nandor have finished "MacPerl: Power and Ease",
PTF's book/CD product on MacPerl. The product has been shipping since
mid-May and the initial reports are very positive. With the help of
Matthias Neeracher and our reviewers on the MacPerl list, we seem to
   have produced a first-rate book!

   * MacPerl: Power and Ease
     Vicki Brown and Chris Nandor
Prime Time Freeware, 1998 Suggested Retail Price: $40
ISBN 1-881957-32-2 400 pp., paper; HFS format CD-ROM

The PTF MacPerl CD-ROM (Version 1.0) ships with the book. To build it,
we started with the "Perl Developer's Kit" (2nd. edition), from ADVICE
Press, added lots of handy Macintosh utilities, then indexed and Macin-
   tized the results.

The disc, IMHO, is really pretty cool. Most of the CPAN (Comprehensive
Perl Archive Network) has been unpacked and indexed, letting you browse
modules (for instance) by author name (first and/or last), category, or
module name. There is also a set of HTMLized POD text for modules, tons
of other documentation, lots of useful Macintosh utilities, the latest
versions of MacPerl (5.1.9r4 and 5.2.0r4), and many other goodies.
