Ok, thanks for the input. I'm in the process of compiling an anotated list
of the perl switches - a sidebar for an eventual column for MacPerl users
I'll keep your comment in mind for the -d entry. Do you have Macsbug
loaded?

I'm surprised that Matthais would write separate code for the menu item and
perl -d   though.
