Credit goes mostly to Terje Bless and Ronald Kimball, Although a much less
terse version was submitted to the BBEdit-Talk list by Jeremy Mates.  I
somehow (don't ask me how) managed to get the final word, so the version I
posted is mine, I suppose.  However, I'm still not taking credit.  Most of
the discussion took place on the BBEdit-Talk list.  It's been almost six
months.
