You can check the archives for this list, for one. This just came up 
recently. Bart Lateur, if I recall correctly, has looked at this. Also, I 
have an article on XML and MacPerl in a recent PerlMonth, and cover this 
briefly. Finally, XML.COM still has an article on this topic in a link on 
their main page.

You will want the Unicode modules from MMP (http://pudge.net/mmp).
