[MacPerl] Web Sharing, CGI's, and it's astounding speed ;-)

Hi folks,

I'm new to the Mac platform and to this list, and I have a quick question
dealing with "personal web sharing" and Perl CGI's. The combination works
fine for test purposes, and I imagine that I don't need to gripe about it
being excruciatingly slow, but..... if I telnet to my local port 80 and call
up my CGI, it's a great deal faster than it would appear when using a
browser (Internet Explorer 5.0) .

Wassup wit dat?
