[MacPerl] MPW, perl and cmd-.

I have a problem when cmd-. interrupting a perl program under MPW 3.5 and
MacOs 9.0.4. 
The execution is interrupted alright, but when I execute any perl program
immediately after
the Mac freezes and MacsBug is the only way out. 
It seems to be working just fine on my other Mac running MacOs 8.6. I'm
using MacPerl 5.2.0 r4.
