[MacPerl] inquisition(r2)

Take a database, each record has two fields: a short text (i.e. date) and a
long text (i.e. chapter, journal entry, etc). I'm looking to get the effect
of if you were writing in a book with fixed dimensions on each page the text
then carrying over to the next page, on a website. I'm not sure if the
end-product will actually be a cgi or a server-end-program to batch create
these files.

The problem I'm having is thinking of a way to chop the text up right. Once
that's done it's easy enough to throw in the html and suchlike. Have you any
ideas? (both starting a new page for each new record, and "continuing on" as
it were are acceptable)
