Perhaps nobody else will ever encounter this problem, but I did. I thought I'd report it. In the file mapping section of Internet Config (the Internet control panel), I discovered that the extension ".pm" was describing an "xv image" file of type "PMpm" and creator "GKON" (Graphic Converter). Some downloaded Perl modules were ending up with this type-creator pair, even though I used Chris Nandor's "installme" droplet to install them. I've since changed all these bad type-creator pairs to "TEXT,McPL" and redefined the ".pl" extension in Internet Config. I've never opened an "xv image" file in my life. I'm not sure where Internet Config got the "xv image" extension, but I thought I'd say something about it. It happened to me. It could happen to somebody else.
