As long as we're discussing editors and not evangelizing I'll mention that Alpha has integrated MacPerl support, as well. There's two things that I like about Alpha over BBEdit: (1) It has emacs emulation, which is great for me since I can carry over my old unix editing habits fairly seamlessly (never liked vi). (2) What ever it doesn't have, I can add (it's programmable). I was able to develop custom modes for programming languages that you'll never see in BBEdit...
