Hi David, I really like BBEdit 6. I find it very stable. I'm running OS 8.6--until I buy an OS X-running replacement for my Power Computing machine. Version 6 of BBEdit works nicely with MacPerl. The Camel menu now shows both "Run" and "Run in MacPerl". Since BBEdit can only handle batch mode this is very helpful. I run in MacPerl if any user input is necessary. Most of the time I just run.
