This may seem like the wrong venue, but the Perl-Cluon level is significantly higher here than many places. ;-) For the record, I'm not an NT guy, and have written a sum total of ONE perl app for NT, which is, of course, the one I'm having problems with. One of the departments in my company has a java application that calls weblint to check "snips" of HTML code. A buddy of mine and I have basically written a "better weblint" (it runs weblint, grabs the output from that, does some checking of its own to meet our internal requirements, and spits back out weblint-style output, but using our own rules) If the java app calls the regular weblint, it works great. If it calls our application, an external window pops up on the NT box, the Java app sees none of the output and basically, life sucks. (Moreso than it normally does for NT, I should clarify that point ;-) ) Running the app standalone produces exactly the "expected" results, with the output appearing right the way you would expect it to. Any thoughts? (Probably should reply off-list to avoid off-topic syndrome) ObTopic: There is no such thing as "Fun With Perl" on NT. ;-) D ==== Want to unsubscribe from this list?
