A lot of the comments on this guy's code have seemed incredibly mean 
spirited to me.  It's way too easy to target novice code for ridicule.  I 
have some old Perl code I'm happy to say is long gone - who 
doesn't?  Granted, this guy did toss his code out for general review, but 
that was just poor judgement on his part, and not much fun really.
