Re: [FWP] Badly written code

and i posted it in alt.perl first. many people asked me for a deja link
so i sent it here and to misc. the author seems to be ridicule proof as
his diatribes about hiring non-degreed coders and encryption show.

JP> But wrt to the coder, that's exactly what we've done: nothing,

i posted where he could read it. he didn't reply to it as he still
thinks he is god's gift to coding. so discussing it where he doesn't go
is not offensive to him. i was sharing the code and not the person. i
never even mentioned his name. i could have just as easily removed his
name from the code and it would still be bad code worth reviewing (and
chuckling over). in doing it here i actually save him from flames. i
just wanted folks to see some very bad code. nothing about abusing the
author was intended.

so please end this thread on whether this is good or bad for the
author. it is indirectly aimed at me and no one seems to get what i did
or my motives.
