purl, of #perl fame, has this to say about Ruby:

<playing around in dselect...> Oooh!  A ruby-mode for emacs!
"Interactive Ruby".  A ruby example package!  mod_ruby for Apache!
eRuby for embedding in text files.  gtk/imlib libraries for Ruby!

Lotta stuff for this plucky little language.  Too bad its an
objectionable language (ie. Use objects or die)
