Hi Richard,

I have been working with MySQL for a couple of months now. MySQL is a
server based SQL database engine. There is no Mac version available.
MySQL does work very well with PERL, using DBI and DBD. Using a web
interface works very well. Using MacPERL may be possible, but you are
tredding on virgin territory. Someone on the list mentioned that they are
accessing a different RDBMS system (SyBase) using DBI and DBDProxy. Using
a similar appraoch might work.

MySQL also has associated with it MyODBC which may or may not suit your
needs.

Best of luck and please report back to the list on what you find works
for you.

Elton
