As a newbie, with little to contribute in the way of Perl experience, I've
been learning a great deal by lurking and absorbing the interchanges, great
and small. It substitutes for working in a large shop where you can learn
as much by watching and listening as by doing and experimentation. I
think most subscribers to this list have enough savvy and discretion to
know when a reply should only be private and be able to direct it
accordingly. I would prefer respond to list as the default reply.
